Minimum requirements
- A modern 64-bit Linux distro (Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+, Fedora 36+, or equivalent)
- glibc 2.31 or newer
- 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended)
- ~400 MB free disk space
- A smartphone with an active WhatsApp account to link
How to install
- AppImage: download it, make it executable with “chmod +x SocialMate*.AppImage”, then double-click or run it from a terminal.
- .deb (Debian/Ubuntu): download it and install with “sudo apt install ./SocialMate*.deb”.
- Launch SocialMate and scan the QR code with WhatsApp on your phone to link your number.
↳ The AppImage is self-contained and needs no installation — ideal for a quick try.
↳ The AppImage auto-updates in place; for the .deb, update from the file you download here.
Verify your download (optional)
Compute the file’s SHA-256 and compare it to the matching line in SHA256SUMS.txt:
