This notice supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
We do not sell or share your personal information
SocialMate does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money or other valuable consideration. Your WhatsApp messages, contacts, and media never leave your device — they are not transmitted to us at all. The only personal information we handle relates to running the website and licensing (see the categories below).
Information we collect
In connection with the website and licensing, we handle a limited set of information: identifiers and account data (such as your email and license key), commercial information (your purchase, processed by our payment provider FastSpring), a salted hardware hash used to bind a license to a device, and internet or network activity (website analytics, only with your consent). We do not collect the contents of your WhatsApp communications.
Your California rights
- Right to know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete — request deletion of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out — of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither).
- Right to limit — the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for any purpose beyond what is permitted).
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
How to exercise your rights
To make a request, email us at [email protected] from the email associated with your account. We will verify your request against the limited information we hold and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
