Refund Policy

The short version: try everything for free first, so there’s nothing to refund. SocialMate is free to download, and a full 7-day Pro trial is there for the taking before you ever pay — you just start it from inside the app. That’s why paid subscriptions are final. If your local law gives you a refund right, you still have it — and we honor it. Here are the details.

1. Try before you buy

The SocialMate desktop app is free to download and use, and a 7-day trial of Pro features is available to every machine before any payment is required. The trial is opt-in: you start it from inside the app (Settings → License, or the in-app Pricing page) and it asks only for an email — no card. You can install the app, connect an account, start the trial, and evaluate the anti-ban engine, the queue, and the local API without paying anything. Because you can fully assess the product before you subscribe, we do not offer refunds once you choose to pay.

2. All sales are final

Pro subscriptions (monthly or annual) and any add-ons are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law. Payments are processed by FastSpring, our authorized reseller and merchant of record; where local law entitles you to a refund, FastSpring will honor that right on our behalf.

3. Cancel anytime

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. Monthly plans stay active until the end of the current billing period and then stop renewing; annual plans run to the end of their term. Cancelling stops future charges — it does not trigger a partial refund for the remaining period, and your Pro features remain available until the period you already paid for ends.

4. Duplicate or accidental charges

If you were charged twice for the same subscription, charged after cancelling, or believe a payment was made in error, contact us and we’ll work with FastSpring to make it right. Genuine billing errors are corrected regardless of this policy.
