We take payment security seriously by not handling your card at all. FastSpring is our merchant of record and processes every transaction.
What we store — and don’t
- We never see or store card numbers. Card data is entered on FastSpring’s PCI-compliant checkout, not on socialmate.app. This keeps our systems out of PCI scope (SAQ-A).
- We store references, not secrets — a transaction/subscription ID and your plan status, so we can show your billing history and keep your license in sync.
- Your WhatsApp data is entirely separate and never leaves your machine — see Privacy: data export & deletion.
Accepted methods
FastSpring supports major credit/debit cards and common alternative methods. The exact options shown depend on your country and are presented at checkout.
Trust, stated plainly. Merchant of record means FastSpring also handles tax/VAT and is the name on your statement. If you need a different invoice, see Invoices, receipts & VAT.
